- Since the world learned of the floods now devastating Pakistan, conditions have worsened dramatically. The growing enormity of this humanitarian disaster has compelled UUSC and the Unitarian Universalist Association to launch a UUSC-UUA Joint Pakistan Flood Relief Fund.

- In 2000, First Unitarian Church of Des Moines made an intentional decision to grow out of a 30-year membership plateau. Eight years later, the membership had grown from 250 to 400, and the congregation was recognized as a Breakthrough Congregation at GA 2009. Their story is on the UUA Web site
