Unitarian Fellowship of Lawrence

November 2007

The Unitarian Fellowship of Lawrence, Kansas, a growing community of over 150 members, asks for your support in acquiring up-to-date media and audio visual equipment as their new building addition nears completion.

Unitarians first came to Lawrence as ardent abolitionists in 1854. The original church disbanded after 91 years but was soon followed in 1957 by the current Unitarian fellowship. Six years ago the 115 members made the decision to grow and become a more visible presence in the community. A DRE and an administrative assistant were hired, both part-time, and for the past two years services have been led by a part-time minister.

After a successful capital campaign members recently broke ground for a new building addition that will include a new entrance, lobby and greeting area, assembly area, and large kitchen. Your generous response to this call will enable the Lawrence Fellowship to install a modern sound and visual system that would make services and programs accessible to all the hearing and visually impaired, those tending a restless child or those who are busy in the kitchen or social hall.

All donations directed to Call #1 will go directly
to the Unitarian Fellowship of Lawrence.

All administrative costs for Chalice Lighters
are paid by Prairie Star District.
