First Unitarian Universalist Church of WichitaMarch 2008 Even in the northern reaches of the Prairie Star District, winter is finally winding down, but it’s not too early to begin planning a winter get-away for next year. A destination that should be on every PSD UU’s itinerary is the southernmost congregation in the District – Wichita. First Unitarian Universalist Church of Wichita recently built and moved into a new building which they spent seven years planning for. In the new building however, they are still sitting on chairs that are 30 to 50 years old. The chairs they would like to buy are manufactured in environmentally friendly way by using plant based renewable raw materials, and a virtually emission-free manufacturing process. Besides the taste of milder weather waiting for us when we make that trip to Wichita, there will be an opportunity to see their new building, while seated on one of the 150 comfortable, attractive, and environmentally friendly chairs that will be purchased with the contribution you make to this Chalice Lighters call. Let the good – and warm – times roll! All donations directed to Call #2 will go directly All administrative costs for Chalice Lighters |
