To receive money from the Chalice Lighter program, your congregation must apply for a grant. There are four types of grant available:

• Full Call (about $6,000 to $8,000) for new congregation formation, securing professional religious leadership, or securing a building
• Growth Fund Grants (up to $2,000) for growth related projects
• Campus Ministry Grants (up to $2,000) for campus ministry/young adult outreach projects
• Social Justice Grants (up to $1,000) to strengthen, empower, or integrate the social justice role into the full life of a the congregation

For any one of the four types of grants, print an application form from this PDF file (87 KBytes) or request an application form mailed from the District Office.

Applications must be mailed to the PSD office. Applications are evaluated twice a year. Completed applications are due October 1 and February 1. For more information or a brochure, contact the District Office at 612-870-4823 or by email at info@psduua.org.
