Evaluation and Vision Survey Results
April, 2002
The Prairie Star District Board has just completed an extensive review of District services, the work of the District Executive, and congregational reaction to the District’s 2010 vision. This process is called the 7th Year Review because it comes just ahead of the final year of a UUA/District contract with our District Executive.
The first step in this process was the Evaluation and Vision Survey sent to leaders of all congregations in October 2001. The 7th Year Review Task Force compiled the survey data, and the Board of Trustees reviewed their report April 4-5, 2002, in a process facilitated by a UUA representative.
Subsequently, the Board of Trustees, in partnership with the UUA, has offered District Executive, Nancy Heege, another four-year contract through June 2007.
Survey data, returned by a phenomenal 79 percent of our congregations, revealed that the District is doing an excellent job of providing services to the congregations. Furthermore the survey results confirm that Nancy Heege has done an excellent job of managing an extensive array of services throughout our eight-state district. After reviewing responses to the District’s Vision 2010, Board members determined Nancy Heege has the necessary skills, gifts, and passion to meet the new challenges of the District’s vision for the future.
The response to the District’s vision by our member congregations will help guide the Board in developing new services in the near future.
What follows is the narrative report from the 7th Year Review Task Force as well as a copy of the survey. Thank you for your interest in this fruitful process. Feel free to contact me at my home in Bismarck, ND.
