Contributing your Fair Share

The PSD Fiscal Year

The PSD fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. Contributions must be received during this time period to be credited to that fiscal year.

District Fair Share

Fair Share is the portion of financial support for the District expected of each congregation. The amount of District Fair Share is set by PSD Board of Directors:

Previous year  (July 1, 2006 – June 30, 2007):  $20.00 per member
(for number of members reported between November 2005 and January 2006 on UUA GA Certification form)

Current year  (July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008):  $20.50 per member
(for number of members reported between November 2006 and January 2007 on UUA GA Certification form)

Next year  (July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009):  $21.50 per member
(for number of members reported between November 2007 and January 2008 on UUA GA Certification form)

Paying District Fair Share

Make check to Prairie Star District and mark “Fair Share” in memo line. Mail to the District office. You may pay quarterly, or once a year, or any other plan that is convenient for you. But the office must receive all contributions in the correct fiscal year for the congregation to be credited as an Honor Society.

Fair Share Status Reports

Reports are sent four times per year to congregational treasurers. Please have the person who keeps your financial records check these reports to see if the amount the District has received from your congregation matches your records. Please notify the District Administrator of any discrepancies.

Other Ways to Contribute to the District

Friends of PSD

A way for individuals to contribute to initiating and maintaining new District services to congregations Make check to Prairie Star District and mark “Friends of PSD” in memo line. Mail to District office. You can also donate by credit card online.

PSD Endowment Fund

A way for individuals or congregations to provide a legacy for liberal religion in our region. Make check to Prairie Star District and mark “Endowment Fund” in memo line. Mail to District office. You can also donate by credit card online.

Chalice Lighters

A way for individuals or congregations to fund growth-related projects of individual congregations. Make check to Prairie Star District and mark “Chalice Lighters” in memo line. Mail to District office. You can also donate by credit card online.
