Stonetree Positions

Abstract

Stonetree Congregational Resources (http://www.stonetreeuu.org) currently serves Prairie Star District (PSD) Unitarian Universalist congregations through its web site. The web site offers a searchable database of UU recommended resources available to provide a variety of services to UU congregations.

The Prairie Star District has recognized that Stonetree itself is a resource which could benefit a much larger geographical area than its own boundaries. As such the PSD has begun conversations with neighboring districts and with the UUA in regards to expanding Stonetree’s reach. We anticipate that this expansion will provide an opportunity to evaluate our current programming infrastructure. Additionally, Stonetree has been in conversation with the UU Musicians Network (UUMN) in regards to a joint effort to support one another’s mission.

With these exciting expansion opportunities comes the need for new contract staff to join our volunteer staff in helping us to move forward.

Web Developer (Contract, average 5 hours per week)

Required Skills:

• 5+ years professional web development/analysis experience
• PHP
• MySQL
• JavaScript
• CSS
• XHTML
• Open source familiarity

Duties:

• Help design scalable interface/structure for expansion of current site
• Analyze current code and make recommendations
• Assist/mentor volunteers
