Purpose: To contact and make arrangements with local congregations who act as hosts for each conference.
Responsibilities include:
- Follow District Annual Conference guidelines.
- Maintain schedule of conference locations that alternate between northern and southern areas of District.
- Select sites several years in advance.
- Recommend to the Annual Conference Coordinator cities and host congregations for future annual conferences.
- Work with District Administrator in setting up dates and schedules for conferences.
- Contact potential congregations and secure commitments to host annual conference.
- Act as consultant to host congregations in choosing the hotel location.
- Approve selection of hotel upon recommendation of Local Arrangements Committee.
- Assist Local Arrangements with hotel negotiations.
Reports to: Annual Conference Program Coordinator.
Term: 3 year, renewable once. Term begins July 1.
Geographic Location: District-wide.
Meets: Group operates by conference call and by email.
