Social Justice Network – Southern Minnesota / Western Wisconsin Cluster Representative

Purpose: To bring together individuals and congregations who are dedicated to making a difference in their congregation, community and world.

Responsibilities include:

The group has developed a Vision and Actions statement and worked with participating congregations toward realizing the points detailed in the document. Vision includes (1) building a social justice community; (2) information sharing; and (3) a liberal religious voice for change.

Related to the vision, a working group member is expected to be involved in consensus planning and action in the following manner:

• Providing leadership for the fall cluster meeting in the geographical area.
• Contributing to the web site, annual newsletter, and UU Updates (occasional mailing).
• Planning district wide workshops (with other working group members).
• Attending an in-person meeting once a year.
• Attending the PSD Annual Conference.
• Participating in 3 to 4 telephone bridge meetings each year.

Reports To: Social Justice Program Coordinator.
Term: 3 year, renewable once. Begins July 1.
Geographic Location: Southern Minnesota / Western Wisconsin.
Meeting: Conducts business in person and by email.
Other Pertinent Information: Annual budget allocation
