Worship Workshop with Marcia McFee

November 2 & 3, 2012
Mankato, Minnesota

Join Dr. Marcia McFee for her inspiring, interactive and joyful workshop about bringing our gatherings to life in new ways. Those who have participated in her workshops have come away with both passion and excitement about creating worship, and equipped with practical and effective resources. Dr. McFee will provide you with tools to create meaningful and memorable moments and messages that appeal to the diversity of people that we are! Some topics will be:

  • sensory-rich communication
  • collaboration between the verbal, musical and visual arts
  • effective use of new media
  • why we are drawn to various styles
  • the "politics" of change
  • plan together and plan ahead design strategies

Dr. Marcia McFee is an author, national speaker, professor, designer and leader of worship. She combines her first career in professional dance and musical theater with a Master's degree in theological studies and Ph.D. in ritual studies to present theories and practical tools for offering effective communication in our 21st century sensory-rich world. She has presented all over the country for many denominations, including national and regional UUA events. Her teaching and artistry has been called "refreshing," "inspiring," and "unforgettable."
