Boone

The Annual Prairie Star District (PSD) Youth Conference and Business Meeting (also known as “Boone”) is held every May at Camp Hantesa in Boone, Iowa. The Conference begins with an orientation on Friday evening and ends Sunday morning with a farewell worship for graduating seniors. Activities include workshops, touch groups, coffee house, worship, and, the most exciting part of all-the Annual Business Meeting of the PSD Youth Adult Committee (YAC)!

Boone is open to Unitarian Universalist youth from Prairie Star District (ages 13-18 or grades 7-12) and adults who currently are (or want to be) involved in their congregation’s youth programming.

Boone is where the YAC Nominating Committee meets to propose a slate of YAC positions that plan and run YAC events for the coming year. Elections are held later that weekend.
