Want to be on YAC?

Here are the positions you can apply for:

YOUTH CO-CHAIR – The responsibilities of youth co-chair are as follows:

  • To facilitate and run meetings
  • To develop and monitor budget
  • To handle the logistics for all YAC meetings
  • To create agendas for the meetings
  • To improve and oversee communication between everyone
  • Sounding Board for YAC to the Board of Trustees
  • To act as a mediator

ADULT CO-CHAIR – The responsibilities of the adult co-chair are as follows:

  • To handle the agenda and logistics of meetings
  • To manage budget
  • To prepare copies of PSD YAC policy manual handbook
  • To act as a resource for all of the positions
  • To authorize reimbursements for budget to PSD treasurer

YOUTH COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE-SOCIAL ACTION COORDINATOR – responsibilities on the YCR/SAC are as follows:

  • To act as the voice of PSD at YRUU Steering Committee meetings.
  • To submit a report of the on-goings of YRUU YSC
  • To communicate and carry out YRUU Youth Council resolutions of district level.
  • Keeps abreast of YRUU Social Action concerns and represents PSD to YAC.
  • Acts as a resource for YRUU Social Action in PSD.

Programming Co-Coordinators (including one adult and one youth) – Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a liaison with BPC.
  • Coordinate, with assistance, YAC sponsored or co-sponsored training conferences or events such as LDCs, SDCs, advisor training events, including details such as publicity, registration, budges, site reservations, rules, schedule, etc.
  • Act as or recruit “supervisors” for on-site at training conferences.
  • Act as a resource for YRUU Social Action in PSD.

Junior High Representative – Responsibilities include:

  • Dealing with age difference issues.
  • To deal with Junior High concerns.
  • Spirituality.
  • To bridge gaps between Junior High and Senior High

Communication Co-Coordinators (one youth, one adult) – Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the mailing/e-mailing lists to be utilized for sending out bulletins, information, and Visions.

Positions on the Boone Planning Committee (BPC)

ADULT BOONE CO-PLANNER – Responsibilities are as follows:

  • To manage Boone finances
  • To act as a camp liaison
  • To run adult orientation at Boone
  • To act as co-supervisor at BOONE
  • To be a mentor for the Adult BOONE Planner Trainee
  • Transitioning to review applications for specific-need positions, and recruit as needed.

YOUTH CO-BOONE PLANNER – Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Acting as a co-supervisor at BOONE
  • To act as a mentor to the Youth BOONE Planner Trainee.
  • Act as ~ liaison to the sub-committee chairs.
  • To run BOONE planning meetings.
  • To help with transitioning.
  • To be in charge of non-catered food at Boone.
  • To review applications for specific-need positions, and recruit as needed.

ADULT BOONE PLANNER TRAINEE – Responsibilities are as follows:

  • To be available for a two-year duration with a commitment to become the following year’s Adult Co-BOONE Planner.
  • To be in charge of Touch Groups with correspondence with youth.
  • To have special Adult Activity focus at BOONE.
  • To review applications for Specific-need positions, and recruit as needed.

YOUTH BOONE PLANNER TRAINEE – Responsibilities are as follows:

  • To act as BOONE registrar, as well as the head of registration at BOONE.
  • To be available for a two year duration with a commitment to become the following years Youth Co-Boone Planner.
  • Heading the Welcoming Committee at Boone.
  • To work closely with the chaplains and the Boone attendees.
  • To review applications for the specific need positions and recruit as needed.

  • Worship Chair
  • Touch Group Chair
  • Workshops Chair
