Learn more about the Church of the Larger Fellowship, and its subsidiary, Church of the Younger Fellowship at http://clf.uua.org/

I communicate and carry out YRUU Youth Council resolutions on the district level. I keep abreast of YRUU social action concerns and act as a resource for YRUU social action in the PSD. We are responsible for planning Boone, our annual district-wide business meeting held in the Great Outdoors at a youth camp with fantastic facilities in Boone, Iowa every spring. Youth from around the district serve on the Boone Planning Committee (BPC) with us. Together we plan this totally awesome weekend event. EVERYONE tries to get to Boone each year! In addition to all the usual CON events, we also have our annual business meeting and elect members of the district YAC during this CON. If you like to plan CONS--or would like to learn--and would like to be appointed to the BPC, contact us.

BooneCON is such a great event and to keep it that way each year the PSD youth elect one youth and one adult to work as “trainees” for a year to “learn the ropes” of planning this special CON. We serve on the BPC to help in planning BooneCON so we can lead the BPC the following year. We learn how to bring a committee of youth from across the district together, to form a team that works effectively to plan a CON that will appeals to everyone, in a location far from our home churches.
Boone Planning Committee Members
Listed below are the individuals appointed by the YAC to the Boone Planning Committee (BPC). We help plan BooneCON (the PSD Youth Annual Business meeting) so it will ROCK! We work with the Youth and Adult Boone Planners and Trainees to carry out the annual district-wide Boone Youth Conference. The BPC is totally in charge of planning and directing the weekend including development of the theme, Tee shirt design, registration, schedule, brochure and publicity, site logistics, touch groups, workshops, worships, meals, and coffeehouse. It is fun to hang out and work with other youth from around the district as we pull this event together into one awesome CON!
