Programming for School Age Children

School age children are expected and welcome at the Friday evening Opening Ceremony and the Saturday evening entertainment. The Sunday Closing Worship will be multigenerational.

Specialized programming and activities for children in kindergarten through sixth grade will be provided as follows:

  • Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 PM

Program Description

Age-appropriate children’s activities will be scheduled on Saturday during the Annual Meeting, Judy Lecture, and all workshops.  This age group will take a field trip to the nationally renowned Science Center of Iowa where they will engage in interactive activities.  We will make music and art, make new friends, and have a wonderful time learning together.

Meals for Children

Children in kindergarten through sixth grade will eat all conference meals with their parents.

Registration

Fees:

The Registration fee for children grade 6 and under who will take part in childcare or children's programming  is $20 per child.

Forms

Two forms are required to register children (grade 6 and under, including infants and pre-schoolers): a Registration Form and a Permission Form.

Registration
Advance registration is now closed.
  • If you register online, once you have completed an adult registration, the online registration system will offer you the option to “Register another person for the Annual Conference.” Click this link and continue on to register other members of your family before you “check out.”
  • If you are printing out the form in hard copy to fill in by hand, you may print it multiple times – one for each individual.
Permission Form
A permission form signed by parents or guardians, is required for all attendees in Grade 12 and below. Because the signatures on these forms need to be original signatures, you’ll need to print out the forms, sign them, and then bring them to the conference to turn in at check in.

Photo Release

By registering a child for the conference you are agreeing to allow the child to be photographed. Videos and photos may be used on our web site and in District print publications. If you have serious concerns about your child's picture being used, please contact Barb Royal at royalbl [at] mac [dot] com prior to the conference. You will need to let us know some way to identify the child (perhaps a distinctive shirt or hat) during the conference so that we will know not to use any pictures of that child.

Deadlines

April 1, 2010, at 5:00 PM, is the deadline for the following:

  • Conference registration (mailed with check and on-line by credit card) for all ages
  • Cancellations of previously made registrations with a refund of fees paid less a $10 processing fee
