Survey Coming
Watch your mailbox! This summer, we will be conducting a survey of a sampling of PSD members to determine the effectiveness of our various communications methods. We will be looking at the newsletter, websites (including Stonetree Spiritual Resources), conference announcements, and other mailings to determine which are most useful to you.
The survey will be sent to about half of the current newsletter mailing list. The survey will be conducted by Nanette Peterson, member of First Universalist Church in partial completion of a Masters in Business Communications degree from the University of St. Thomas. Results will be available to members following completion of the survey.
Fall Workshops
Plan now to attend workshops in the fall. Watch for details on the PSD website. Look for registration brochures which will be mailed to congregations in the summer.
Leadership Conferences
If you are a new (or returning) President, Vice-President or Treasurer, plan now to attend one of the Leadership Conferences.
The Northern conference will be September 24–25, in Bloomington, Minnesota. The Southern conference will be October 1–2, in Omaha, Nebraska. As in other years, there also will be workshop tracks for other congregational leaders such as membership chairs or publicity chairs.
RE Training Institute
The Fall RE Training Institute will take place November 18–20, at First Unitarian Universalist Church, in Rochester, Minnesota.
This institute will feature a two-day Youth Advisor Training, a Renaissance Module on administration for religious educators, a special one-day Senior High OWL training for those who have already had the Junior High OWL training, and a special session with Judith Frediani, director of the UUA’s Lifespan Faith Development Staff Group.
